Managing Editor and Social Media Manager:
Her Campus ODU (National Journalism Club)             

  • Edit articles for over 40 active members - editor with overarching editing rights and the last editor before publishing is allowed. 

  • Write at least two articles a month related to current trends and topics in media or the community.

  • Created and maintain a social calendar for the chapter Instagram, bringing organization and easier collaboration.

  • Created social campaigns and started a cohesive feed and posting schedule which facilitated an 11% growth in followers on Instagram in the last year.​

Marketing Officer:
ODU Chapter of American Marketing Association, Strome Marketers

  • Created flyers and social media content for events

  • Attend marketing events and network with marketing and communication professionals

Vice President of Marketing:
Pi Sigma Epsilon Business Fraternity                                                                   

  • Created flyers and social media content for PSE social channels

  • Attend national conference to represent ODU at sales competition

  • Organize and compete in a state-wide sales competition hosted by ODU - placed 2nd and won a $500 prize

Active Member:
ODU Women's Club Soccer                                                                  

  • Traveled and played other Virginia and North Carolina schools

  • Practiced 2x a week and games once a week.

Interests

While not a chosen major, journalism and writing in general have consumed much of my free time. The rest is spent reading, playing soccer, throwing some clay, dancing, learning Français and 한국, hanging with my friends, watching TV, and figuring out where I want to travel next.

It was my middle school French teacher, Monsieur Neumann, who told us that if we ever wanted to travel, do it while we're in in school while it is the cheapest and easiest. Safe to say I took that and I ran with it. So far I've gone to Canada, Costa Rica, Belize, France, Mexico, South Africa, Jamaica, Japan, South Korea, The Bahamas, Dominican Republic, England, Belgium, The Netherlands, and so much more! Four of these trips were funded by or organized through the school. Each trip gives me a further appreciation of the world and each time I've brought back some lessons I will hold with me forever.
